The RaceTiger GS RaceStock Ski is straight from the Volkl Race Room and
meets FIS Giant Slalom Regulations for J1 and J2 racers, all the way up
to Jimmy Cochran and the rest of the World Cup Elite Racers. The
Sensorwood Core and Power Construction provide a strong stable platform
that allows you to lay the ski over on edge and rip turns with
confidence. The Sensorwood core is sandwiched with Titanium (two sheets
in men's lengths) for that true race room feel. The Straight tail on
the RaceTiger is designed to hold the end of each turn longer to allow
you to build power and speed with each arc. Since slalom and giant
slalom race skis spend more time edges and sidewalls than gliding on the
bases, Volkl reinvented a historic construction style and the result is
pure speed in the form of Speedwall Technology. The Speedwalls are made
out of a proprietary composite sintered base material and can be waxed
just like the bases. By continuing the P-tex surface in contact with
the snow onto the edges Volkl reduces the friction on the ski which
equals more speed! These skis are designed for serious racers only.
